What do we know after 4 weeks of football.

Stefon Diggs? Are you coming alive?
First 3 weeks have been a snooze fest for Diggs and owners only seeing very little points week after week. Vikings have become a run first offense with a healthy, firing on all cylinders Dalvin Cook. Cook has been putting up elite numbers week after week currently ranked RB1 after the first 4 weeks. Cook running the way he’s been running definitely has others on that offense taking a production hit. Diggs ADP was 3.11 at the end of august and safe to say after 4 weeks that 3rd rd investment has not paid off just yet. This week Diggs put up 15.80 PPR Pts 7 recs 108 Yds against division rivals Chicago Bears. Just like most people Diggs road the bench this week due to the lack of points previous weeks and to mention the matchup wasn’t wasn’t in his favor to be in starting lineups with the Bears defense ranked 4th in the league. Moving forward with Diggs he’s still on a short leash, 1 game doesn’t take Diggs out the dog house just yet. Diggs is on my “Wait and see” list for now. I need to see more out of him before I pull the trigger for him to be in my starting lineup week after week.
Todd Gurley is that you?
What to make out of Gurleys production after the first 4 weeks could be hard to explain how it will look moving forward. Gurley is clearly not playing like the guy we once knew as Mr. 1.01 but the rams are looking to keep Gurley healthy for the remainder of his contract. After 4 weeks he’s avg. 12 carries a game and still finding opportunities in the passing game. Splitting carries with Malcom Brown doesn’t seem to be a even split. Browns last 4 weeks in attempts: week 1: 11 carries week 2: 6 carries week 3: 3 carries week 4: 5 carries. So again moving forward would be hard to predict what exactly the kind of running back week to week we will get come game day. RB2 week to week is something I could expect but won’t put my money on it. Don’t get me wrong no way does this mean to ever bench Gurley ever he’s a must start week to week. One can only hope going into your draft u drafted accordantly and expected a production decline out of Gurley this Szn. So overall im happy with my Gurley investment after 4 weeks fingers crossed the rams keep feeding him in the redzone and finding him in the passing game to make him fantasy relevant week to week.
Jameis Winston Heating up.
Winston put up 41 points in Sundays game 28 for 41 att 4 tds 1 Int 385 yards passing very impressive QB1 numbers in back to back weeks. Coming into this Szn I was very high on Winston and Head Coach Bruce Arians connection in this offense. First two weeks Winston looked terrible to say the least all signs were leading everyone to believe Winston was back to his trash ways but after getting some confidence getting the offense rolling, things turned around for Winston for the better. Chris Godwin is making things very easy for Winston and Mike Evans taking a new co WR1 position with Godwin but still a threat in the offense making a impact when he can. Winston is only own in 53% of leagues should still be floating on the waiver wire somewhere in your league. He would be great pick up if Winston really means business moving forward but also keep in mind INTs come with Winston so expect a lot if you’re in a league that ints are huge point deductions I wouldn’t recommend Winston on your starting lineup and time soon. Overall Winston has two weeks of trash numbers and 2 weeks with elite QB1 numbers only time will tell if Winston is the real deal.
Patriots Defense Elite?
Pats Defense has been putting up great numbers only giving up 1 touchdown in 4 weeks amazing. 18 sacks and 10 Ints so far, defense currently ranked 1st in rankings. Could be with great matchups last 3 weeks facing MIA ,Jets, and Buf all division rivals and to be fair 2/3 teams playing with backups so the real show should begin and the pats defense will be put to the test…. Not any time soon… next 4 weeks the matchups looks to be in the pats favor of more elite numbers. Washington with a rookie now starter QB Dwayne Haskins then Giants rookie Danny Dimes and then a unsure Baker Mayfield. Pats Defense should be rocking and rolling for the next couple weeks but I refuse to put the elite label on the defense just yet. I’m very curious how they will do against B-More with Lamar Jackson and company week 9. Elite talk should be postponed til further notice.
